Consumers would like to increase their intake of plant-based proteins. Legumes such as peas and beans are excellent natural sources of protein, but they can be a challenge to incorporate in food products while securing a good organoleptic profile with nice texture and taste.
Pep’s Balls extruded pulses have been developed to enrich products with plant-based proteins without any compromise on taste and offering a great mouthfeel.
We offer three different Pep’s Balls to use as inclusion ingredients:
The crunchy and tasty extruded pulses provide plant-based protein enhancement and fibres and are in addition ideal natural texturizers contributing a good mouthfeel.
Peps’s Balls are easy to use and are for instance excellent in bakery and pastry applications such as bread, cookies, and biscuits, and in cereal bars to achieve nutritional claims. They are of course also well-suited for meat replacement products.
